The background of this research is that the process of receiving lecturers at Raden Rahmat Islamic University in Malang is not objective. Therefore to optimize the competency or potential assessment process of existing applicant lecturers, it is necessary to build a computer-based system called a decision support system, using the appropriate method, namely profile matching. The purpose of this study is to build a decision support system to help selectors in accepting new lecturers at Raden Rahmat Islamic University of Malang and assisting in decision making in the process of selecting new lecturers using the profile matching method. The stages of the research method used are using the waterfall model application development cycle. Decision support systems that are built on the web and use the MySQL database.
