Abstract
This study aims to determine the determinant factors that influence the leadership of the Village Head in community empowerment in Bilato Village, Bilato District, Gorontalo Regency. This type of descriptive qualitative research is trying to analyze the variables of leadership and community empowerment. This study uses data collection methods through interviews, observation, and documentation.
The results of this study indicate that 1) Village Head Leadership in community empowerment with democratic leadership style and freedom style or Laissez Faire. This can be seen from the various methods carried out by the Bilato Village Head, starting from the planning, implementation and supervision of the community empowerment process itself. While the factors that influence the leadership of the village head in community empowerment consists of two, namely: 1) supporting factors consisting of: a) the authority of a village head; b) power; and c) ability. 2) the next is the inhibiting factor, which consists of: a) lack of community participation in the empowerment program; and b) inadequate facilities and equipment.
