Local Community Resistance to Geothermal Projects in Indonesia

Penelitian ini berupaya untuk memberikan perspektif yang lebih luas mengenai pengembangan geotermal di Indonesia, penolakan masyarakat terhadap proyek bukan hanya sekadar reaksi emosional, tetapi juga merupakan panggilan untuk memperhatikan hak dan kebutuhan mereka yang terabaikan. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami secara lebih komprehensif bagaimana praktik implementasi, dan kondisi sosial setempat membentuk dinamika penerimaan maupun penolakan terhadap proyek geotermal di Indonesia. Peneliti memanfaatkan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) untuk mengkaji berbagai sumber ilmiah secara terstruktur dan menyeluruh. Mengacu pada panduan Kitchenham (2015), SLR dilakukan melalui tiga tahap utama; perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pelaporan. Metode ini dilakukan secara sistematis melalui software Covidence dengan sumber data utama SCOPUS dan Crossreff. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa resistensi terhadap proyek energi geotermal di Indonesia berakar pada pandangan sumber daya alam sebagai komoditas strategis sehingga tata kelola bersifat sentralistik dan top-down. Menempatkan negara dan korporasi sebagai aktor utama serta meminggirkan partisipasi masyarakat lokal. Studi kasus seperti Salingka Gunung Talang, Padarincang, dan Desa Waplasit memperlihatkan ironi sosial-ekologis bahwa proyek yang diklaim berkelanjutan menimbulkan pemiskinan baru, relokasi, kerentanan kesehatan, disintegrasi sosial, serta pengabaian nilai kultural masyarakat adat.
