INFLUENCE APPROACH TO INDIVIDUAL ON THE RESULTS OF LEARNING MATH CLASS HIGH SDN 143 REJANG LEBONG

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of an individual approach to mathematics learning and its effect on mathematics learning outcomes for high school students at SDN 143 Rejang Lebong. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of survey research and uses the contingency coefficient correlation formula and then converted to Phi correlation to interpret it. The population in this study were all high school students totaling 108 students, while the sample was 84 students who were taken using a proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data collection techniques used are through observation, questionnaires, and documentation and analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results obtained indicate that the Mathematics teacher in the high class at SDN 143 Rejang Lebong has applied an individual approach, which is 71% in the medium category. The results also show that there is an influence of an individual approach on the mathematics learning outcomes of high-class students at SDN 143 Rejang Lebong of 0.752 and this value when viewed in the interpretation table is greater than the r table both at the 5% significance level, which is 0.217 and 1%, which is 0.283 and the effect is in the strong or high category.
