Abstract

Community-based waste management training in Sumberejo, Gedangan, was carried out with the aim of increasing residents' awareness and skills in managing waste independently, sustainably, and based on local potential. Sumberejo Village is an agricultural village that produces volumes of organic and inorganic waste but its management is not optimal. Through this training, residents are given knowledge about waste sorting, processing organic waste and inorganic waste, with a focus on empowering the community in utilizing waste as a resource. This training includes identifying needs, planning relevant materials, direct practice in the field, as well as mentoring to ensure sustainable implementation. It is hoped that this program will continue to develop with the existence of village working groups responsible for maintaining sustainable waste management, as well as collaboration with external parties. This training shows that active community participation in waste management can create a cleaner environment and support economic prosperity.
