Abstract

Teachers who have good competence have an impact on the quality of education. The task of the teacher in educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training and evaluating must be developed properly so that the results achieved can contribute to improving the quality of education. Because quality teachers can create quality education. For this reason, it is necessary to pay attention to the factors that have a determining value in forming quality teachers. Improving teacher competence can be done in various ways, including through teacher training. Teacher training aims to deepen the competence of teachers, especially teachers of Mechanical Engineering so that they meet the specified standards. The training model designed in this paper is the training of inventors using the Project Based-Learning model. It is hoped that the preparation of this paper can make the concept of teacher training with the Project Based-Learning model applicable in training institutions so that it can help to improve teacher competence
