Abstrak

Jumlah kendaraan pribadi yang meningkat berbanding lurus dengan padatnya lalu lintas yang kemudian menyebabkan sistem transportasi masih difokuskan kepada pelebaran jalan ataupun penyediaan infrastruktur untuk memenuhi volume kendaraan yang terus mengalami peningkatan. Disisi lain penambahan jalan ataupun pelebaran jalur tidaklah dianggap efektif dalam penyelenggaraan sistem transportasi hal ini dikarenakan pelebaran jalan hanya akan meningkatkan jumlah kendaraan yang melaju dan bukannya mengurangi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun desain berbagi ruang yang dapat diterapkan pada Kawasan Jam Gadang sebagai ruang publik menjadi lebih aktif, memperkuat interaksi sosial, lebih adil bagi semua pengguna. Analisis yang digunakan adalah Quality Function Deployment (QFD) dan 6 tahapan analisis dalam berbagi ruang. Hasil akhir penelitian menunjukkan jika memberikan desain berbagi ruang yang dipilih oleh pejalan kaki adalah dengan model jalan dan trotoar dengan perkerasan paving dan tanpa pembatas antara pejalan kaki dan pengguna kendaraan, sedangkan pengguna kendaraan memilih desain berbagi ruang dengan perkerasan jalan menggunakan aspal dan perkerasan trotoar menggunakan paving.
