Development of Learning Media PTBA (Puzzle ) Addition and Subtraction Material for Class 1 MI Kalipare

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of learning media in class I MI Sunan Gunung Jati
Sumberpetung Kalipare. Many factors that researchers encountered in the learning process, such as: 1) The lack of learning media; (2) In the current 2013 curriculum, the concept of learning is integrated, so that many students find it difficult to understand the material; (3) lack of enthusiasm of students on the material. So to overcome this problem, researchers developed PTBA Learning Media (Active Counting Ladder Puzzle) so that students are more creative and active, learning is more fun.The fokus of the material on the reseach here is the addition and subtraction of theme 2 class 1 MI. The type of research used is development research with the Borg and Gall model. The results of this study indicate that through PTBA learning media students’ learning outcomes increase, from 13 students obtaining an average score of 91.5, while experts and practitioners state that PTBA media is suitable for use for learning and is very effective
