THE ROLE OF HUFFAZ ULUL ALBAB IN SUPPORTING THE NATIONAL TRANSFORMATION AGENDA 50

Abstract

The 50 National Transformation Agenda (TN50) which is a continuation of the New
Economic Policy (1971-1990) and the National Development Policy (1991-2020),
has a clear objective to make Malaysia a top 20 country in the world in economic,
social, and innovation development . The six main axes that are the government's
main commitment in achieving the TN50 goals are urbanization, lack of resources,
an aging population, geopolitical shifts, technological revolution, and societal
change. Among the things that are a pillar of this TN50 is the birth of 125000
professional huffaz by the year 2050, through implementation by the National
Tahfiz Education Policy (DPTN). Therefore, this paper will debate the importance
of Quranic, Encyclopedic, and Ijtihadik features which are the main elements of
the Ulul Albab syllabus, in realizing the noble wishes of the government based on
the aspirations of TN50. A bibliographic study that involves researching literary
sources, analyzing the collected data, processing the analyzed sources, and
documenting the data will be done to answer the objectives of the study. The
results of the research debate will have an impact on many parties both at the
individual, community, and national levels. It is hoped that this study will guide
the huffaz to develop their potential, provide awareness to the community about
the importance of the huffaz, and help the government realize the aspirations of
TN50.
