Abstract

Local wisdom and indigenous knowledge are the results of a long process of human interaction with the natural and social environment. However, in today’s era of digitalization and globalization, these values face the threat of erosion due to changing lifestyles, communication patterns, and younger generations’ shifting

perspectives toward tradition. This article aims to examine how the existence of local wisdom can be preserved through the utilization of digital technology. The method used is a literature review by analyzing various scholarly sources related to cultural preservation and digital transformation. The findings indicate that

digitalization can serve as a strategic means to document, promote, and revitalize local wisdom without diminishing its original values. Through the synergy between tradition and technology, local culture can remain alive and relevant amid the

dynamics of modern development.
