Al-Quran Learning in Madrasah and Public School from Peace Education and Akhlakul Karimah Perspectives

This research examines the Al-Quran in Madrasas and Public Schools from the Perspective of Peace Education and Akhlakul Karimah. This research was located at MTs Negeri Kota Batu and SMP Negeri 1 Dau. This research aims to find out and describe the study of the Al-Quran in Madrasas and Public Schools from the Perspective of Peace Education and Akhlakul Karimah. Qualitative methods were used in this research with the type of case study research. The research informants were madrasa heads, curriculum coordinators and teachers. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques through data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data uses triangulation techniques. The research results show that learning or studying the Al-Quran in Madrasahs is related to the internalization of character education values for madrasah residents, especially students. Examining the Al-Quran in Madrasas and Public Schools in the Perspective of Peace Education and Akhlakul Karimah through a cultural approach which includes the behavior of madrasah residents, traditions, daily habits and cultural symbols can also be said to be in line with the formulation of the vision, mission and goals of the madrasah or even with madrasah efforts in building a positive culture. The behavior of madrasah residents contains character education values that are entrenched as a result of integration into every daily activity and tradition of madrasah residents through habituation efforts. Furthermore, character education that is fostered can be developed towards akhlakul karimah which is very beneficial for the development of peace education. In madrasas, peace education has been integrated into Al-Quran learning.
