IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DISIPLIN MELALUI KEGIATAN KEAGAMAAN DI MI NAHDLATUL ULAMA BULULAWANG

Abstrak

The problem of moral degradation in Indonesia is an important problem for the world of education. Until now, schools are considered part of the responsibility to create a better future generation. From this, education can also lead a person to live with dignity, get closer to Allah SWT, have noble character, be capable, intelligent and independent. This is in line with the goals of national education which aim to develop and shape a dignified national character and civilization by improving people's standard of living in accordance with Islamic teachings. Therefore, efforts are needed to implement character education in official educational institutions. Because the character of a nation determines its existence in the eyes of the world. National character is an important pillar in national and state life. Character is likened to the foundation or foundation needed to build a strong nation. Education is a basic need for everyone, both individuals, society and the nation, which must be fulfilled. Continuing education must be developed systematically and comprehensively. In the era of globalization, religious knowledge must develop. Therefore, education must determine a path that is directed and based on religion, so that it can form character that is reflected in everyday personality. The focus of this research is the formation of students' disciplined character through religious activities. If this research is motivated by students who have poor disciplinary attitudes and tend not to have a sense of responsibility. The type of research used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. What is the descriptive method? namely a method for studying the current state of people, objects, spaces, thought systems, or events. The aim of this descriptive research is to produce a systematic, factual and accurate picture of the facts, nature and relationships of the phenomena being studied. The research results show that student character development is religious, disciplined and responsible.
