Abstrak

Islamic education plays a strategic role in shaping individuals who are faithful, knowledgeable, and virtuous. However, amid globalization, digitalization, and rapid social transformation, the Islamic education paradigm faces new challenges in preparing future-ready generations. This article aims to examine the integration of Islamic educational philosophy within the framework of “future education,” which emphasizes 21st-century competencies such as digital literacy, critical thinking, creativity, and global collaboration. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach through library research, analyzing academic works, Scopus- and Sinta-indexed journals, and conceptual documents on Islamic and future-oriented education. The findings reveal that Islamic educational philosophy—rooted in tawhid, knowledge, and morality—remains relevant as a foundation for character formation and lifelong orientation. Nevertheless, contemporary Islamic education practices still display a gap between philosophical values and future demands, particularly in integrating technology, modernizing curricula, and enhancing teachers’ competencies. Therefore, Islamic education must transform by adapting its curriculum to contemporary changes, developing contextual and technology-based learning methods, and reinforcing spiritual values within a global framework. The study concludes that future Islamic education must integrate Islamic values with modern pedagogical innovation to produce a generation of Muslims who are religious, intelligent, creative, and globally competitive.
