Improving Students’ Cooperation Through The Implementation Of The Teams Games Tournament (Tgt) Method In Physical Education Learning
Abstrak
This classroom action research aims to improve students’ cooperation in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning through the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) method. The study was conducted at MI IMAMI Kepanjen with the research subjects being students of Grade 3.1 during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research model followed Kemmis and McTaggart’s framework, which consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection, carried out in two cycles. Data were collected through observation sheets and cooperation assessment forms. The results revealed that the implementation of the TGT method significantly improved students’ cooperation. Students became more active in group activities, demonstrated mutual assistance, respect for others’ opinions, and contributed more effectively to completing tasks. The percentage of students showing active cooperation increased from 50% in the first cycle to 80% in the second cycle. Furthermore, students’ enthusiasm and engagement in the learning process also improved. In conclusion, the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) method proved effective in fostering cooperation and enhancing students’ active participation in Physical Education learning at the elementary school level, creating a more enjoyable, collaborative, and student-centered learning environment.
