Optimization of Zakat Funds in Community Empowerment

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of zakat, infaq and shadaqah in improving the welfare of an economy in Indonesia. This study uses a descriptive approach to describe the actual events. So that in writing the article on optimizing the management of zakat funds as an empowering community, they seek to explain and describe the role of the state and zakat institutions in managing zakat funds so that they are distributed to people who need them more. Sources of data were obtained from scientific journals found on the website database https://scholar.google.co.id. Indexing using keywords. Zakat, infaq, and shodaqoh are one of the forms of worship of a Muslim to seek the pleasure of Allah Swt.. Doing zakat, infaq, and shadaqah can reduce the amount of poverty that exists. Therefore, it is necessary to have a management body that takes care of zakat, infaq, and shadaqah that can manage it well and can improve the community's economy.
