About the Journal
JIPI (Journal of Islamic Education Studies), ISSN (e) 2963-4318, is an academic journal of Islamic education published by the Department of Islamic Religious Education, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Raden Rahmat Islamic University of Malang. It is published twice a year, in April and October, and contains articles based on research and conceptual studies in the fields of education and Islamic studies. The scope of the journal covers sub-themes such as Islamic Religious Education, the development of Islamic education systems or learning, and various branches of knowledge in the field of Islamic studies in general.

JIPI: Journal of Islamic Education, Volume 5, Number 1, 2026, presents a collection of high-quality scholarly articles comprising empirical research, conceptual studies, and systematic reviews that contribute to the advancement of Islamic Education and interdisciplinary Islamic Studies. All manuscripts published in this issue have undergone a rigorous editorial screening process and double-blind peer review to ensure academic quality, originality, and scholarly relevance.
This issue features a wide range of contemporary topics that reflect current developments and challenges in Islamic Education. These include peace education, religious moderation, the integration of Qur'anic learning and Arabic language instruction, Islamic boarding school (pesantren) education, character education, CEFR-based Arabic language teaching, Living Hadith studies, psychometric validation of the TOAFL instrument, and innovative learning practices in Islamic educational institutions. In addition to contributions from scholars representing various higher education institutions across Indonesia, this issue also includes articles authored by international researchers, thereby enriching academic perspectives and strengthening global scholarly collaboration.
