The ability to read the Qur’an correctly is an important competency in Islamic education; however, some learners still experience difficulties in applying makharij al-huruf, ahkam al-madd, the rules of nun sakinah and tanwin, and reading fluency. This community service program aimed to improve Qur’anic reading quality through a tahsin al-Qur’an program and to identify changes in participants’ reading abilities after the intervention. The program was conducted on August 25, 2026, at nurul hikmah Mosque, Gunung Mas Hamlet, Lebak Village, involving 20 students. The activity employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach consisting of problem identification, action planning, implementation, observation and evaluation, and reflection. The program included instruction on makharij al-huruf, ahkam al-madd, and tajwid rules, followed by talaqqi, demonstrations, Qur’anic reading practice, direct correction, and repeated exercises. The evaluation results indicated an improvement in participants’ Qur’anic reading abilities following the tahsin program. The average score increased from 60.3 in the pretest to 84.2 in the posttest, representing an increase of 23.9 points, with an N-Gain score of 0.61, categorized as moderate. Improvements were observed across all assessed indicators. These findings indicate that the tahsin al-Qur’an program was descriptively effective in improving Qur’anic reading quality and should be continued through regular and sustainable mentoring
