Author Guidelines

All articles submitted to G-Tech: Jurnal Teknologi Terapan must be written in English. Authors are fully responsible for the content of their manuscripts, which must be original scientific work that has not been previously published. Below are the guidelines for article submissions to G-Tech: Jurnal Teknologi Terapan, published by the Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi, Universitas Islam Raden Rahmat, Malang.

Title
  • The article title should be concise (maximum of 20 words) and informative, written in Calisto font, size 14 pt, bold. If there is a subtitle, it should use the same font style as the main title.
  • The authors' full names should be written without academic titles using Calisto font, size 12 pt, bold, while affiliations should be in Calisto font, size 10 pt.

Abstract
  • The abstract must be written in English, using Calisto font, size 10 pt, single-spaced, and in a one-column format with justified alignment.
  • It should include key points such as the research background, objectives, methods, and results. The length of the abstract should be 150–200 words.
  • Keywords should consist of 3–5 words or phrases, preferably derived from the article title, and separated by semicolons (;).

Introduction
  • The introduction should be written narratively, without sub-sections. Paragraph breaks should be used to structure the content instead of separate headings.
  • It should include the background, a summary of relevant literature, and conclude with the research objectives.

Research Methodology
  • This section should describe how the research was conducted. The section and sub-section headings should have a distinct font style (bold or bold italic) and should not be numbered.
  • The research methodology section typically accounts for 20–30% of the total article length.

Results and Discussion
  • This section should present analyzed data (not raw data). Results may be presented in tables or graphs, accompanied by explanations or interpretations.
  • The discussion should compare the research findings with previous studies, relevant theories, or established knowledge, supported by references. Research findings can either support, challenge, or contradict existing knowledge.

Conclusion and Recommendations
  • The conclusion should summarize the key findings of the research.
  • The recommendations should offer practical applications, theoretical contributions, or suggestions for future research.

Acknowledgments (if any)
  • Acknowledgments should mention the names of funding sources and institutions that facilitated the research.

References
  • Citations and references should follow the parenthetical citation method (Author’s last name, year).
  • References must be formatted according to the APA 7th edition style.
  • Each article must include at least 20 recent primary references (from the last 10 years).

Other Provisions:

  1. Manuscripts should be written on A4-sized paper, with a minimum length of 8 pages and a maximum of 10 pages, including tables, figures, and references.
  2. Authors must adhere to the formatting guidelines outlined above.
  3. The editorial team is not responsible for the content of submitted articles, but editors reserve the right to make grammatical and structural revisions before publication.
  4. Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Zotero, Mendeley, or the built-in reference manager in Microsoft Word.
  5. Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the G-Tech Open Journal Systems (OJS). Each author must download and use the G-Tech template as a reference for manuscript formatting.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • Submission Preparation Checklist As part of the submission process, authors are required to check their submission for compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors who do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • 1. I declare that the above article is an original manuscript, consisting of my own ideas and analysis, not a translation/adaptation, is not under consideration for publication in any other media, and has not been published in any other media. I am willing to take responsibility for any complaints or legal claims made by any party due to the publication of this article.
  • 2. My article does not contain any statements that are illegal, defamatory, or any material that infringes on the privacy or proprietary rights of any person or entity.
  • 3. If, during the review process, I withdraw or cancel the article, I agree to notify the editor and adhere to the article withdrawal policies outlined in the Checklist.
  • 4. In the case of a violation of these statements, I agree to accept penalties from G-Tech and be included in the G-Tech blacklist of prohibited authors.
  • 5. Your article text or format conforms to our article template. If not, please first refer to our Author Guidelines, Focus, and Scope.
  • 6. Authors are not permitted to withdraw submitted manuscripts, as withdrawal of a manuscript is a waste of valuable resources. The editor and reviewers have invested significant time in processing the submitted manuscript, as well as money and effort by the journal/publisher.
  • 7. If the author requests the withdrawal of their manuscript while it is still in the peer-review process, the author will be subject to a penalty of IDR 500,000 per manuscript as a withdrawal fee to the publisher. It is also considered unethical to withdraw a manuscript submitted to one journal if it has been accepted by another journal. If the manuscript is withdrawn after being accepted for publication, the author will be fined IDR 1,000,000 per manuscript. Withdrawal of the manuscript is only allowed after the withdrawal penalty has been paid in full to the publisher.

The names and email addresses provided in G-Tech: Jurnal Teknologi Terapan will be used exclusively for the purposes of this journal and will not be available for any other purposes or to any other parties.
