Journal History

G-Tech: Jurnal Teknologi Terapan is managed by the Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi, Universitas Islam Raden Rahmat Malang. G-Tech aims to publish research findings and reviews on applied technology in the fields of engineering, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, information systems, agrotechnology, and other engineering disciplines. The brief history of this journal is as follows:

  1. G-Tech: Jurnal Teknologi Terapan was first established in September 2017 by the editorial team from the Faculty of Engineering, Computer Science, and Agrotechnology (now the Faculty of Science and Technology).
  2. In October 2017, G-Tech published its first issue, Vol. 1 No. 1, with 7 articles and received its registered print ISSN number 2580-8737.
  3. In April 2018, G-Tech began publishing regularly twice a year, in April and October.
  4. In September 2018, G-Tech obtained its registered online ISSN number 2623-064X and was indexed by Google Scholar, Crossref, and Garuda.
  5. In September 2020, G-Tech applied for SINTA accreditation.
  6. In February 2021, through Decree No. 200/M/KPT/2020 on the Accreditation Ranking of Scientific Journals for Period III of 2020, G-Tech: Jurnal Teknologi Terapan was accredited with a score of 44 (SINTA 5).
  7. In March 2022, G-Tech added journal indexing with several national and international indexing agencies such as OneSearch, BASE, Index Copernicus International, Neliti, Dimensions, Journal Stories, ROAD, Academic Resource Index, International Scientific Indexing, ORCID, WorldCat, and Scilit.
  8. In December 2022, G-Tech successfully registered and was indexed in one of the international databases, DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals).
  9. In February 2023, through the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology of Kemdikbudristek No. 225/E/KPT/2022, G-Tech advanced to SINTA 4.
  10. Starting in 2023, G-Tech is published four times a year, in January, April, July, and October.
