Self-Care dan Coping Stress pada Working Mothers

Abstrak
Wanita zaman sekarang mampu memiliki peran ganda dalam kehidupan, menjadi ibu rumah tangga dan ibu bekerja. Kesulitan yang dialami ibu bekerja dalam menjalankan tugasnya di rumah dan di tempat kerja menimbulkan stres yang berdampak pada kesejahteraan mereka. Kemampuan yang rendah dalam coping stress dapat mengakibatkan stres berkepanjangan yang menyebabkan kelelahan atau burnout. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan self-care dengan coping stress pada ibu bekerja. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Skala yang digunakan merupakan skala variabel coping stress, Ways of Coping of Stress yang diciptakan oleh Lazarus dan Folkman (1986) yang telah diadaptasi oleh Fidia Oktarisa dan Zulmi Yusra (2017), dan skala self-care yaitu Exersice of Self-Care Agency yang dihasilkan oleh Kearney dan Fleischer (1979). Jumlah sampel yang digunakan adalah 100 responden dengan kriteria ibu yang bekerja dan minimal memiliki dua anak. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif antara self-care dengan coping stress pada working mothers. Hal ini menunjukkan semakin tinggi self-care maka semakin tinggi pula coping stress pada working mothers.
