Pentingnya Self-Compassion bagi Kesehatan Mental Individu

Abstrak
Tingginya kasus kesehatan mental tidak dibarengi dengan pelayanan kesehatan mental yang optimal untuk dijangkau masyarakat. Diperlukan barier individu berupa kemampuan self-compassion. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan dinamika self-compassion individu dalam permasalahan kesehatan mentalnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode tinjauan literatur sistematis. Proses pencarian data menggunakan Publish and Perish pada penelitian 5 tahun terakhir (2019-2023), terbatas pada literatur berbahasa Inggris dan terindeks scopus dengan mengeksklusikan prosiding dan book chapter. Didapatkan 6 literatur yang paling relevan dengan topik penelitian berasal dari database yang berkualitas yaitu Taylor & Francis, Springer Link, APA, dan Oxford Academic. Hasil tinjauan literatur adalah self-compassion memiliki peran yang penting dalam dinamika kesehatan mental, di mana peningkatan self-compassion dapat berkontribusi pada kesehatan mental yang lebih baik. Peran self-compassion penting bagi individu untuk dapat lebih mampu menghadapi tekanan dan stres, serta menjaga kesehatan mentalnya dengan baik. Tinjauan literatur ini diharapkan dapat memberi informasi mengenai pentingnya peran self-compassion sebagai variabel psikologi positif yang melindungi individu dari permasalahan kesehatan mental.
