Peran Pola Asuh Orang Tua Terhadap Fungsi Eksekutif Pada Individu Dewasa Awal

Fungsi eksekutif merupakan proses kognitif dalam kehidupan sehari-hari seperti mengambil sebuah keputusan dalam menyelesaikan masalah di fase dewasa awal. Perkembangan fungsi eksekutif dapat dipengaruhi oleh peran keluarga. Orang tua memiliki peran utama pada masa pertumbuhan serta perkembangan anak, terutama pada perkembangan kognitif dari usia dini hingga dewasa. Studi ini mempunyai maksud untuk memahami hubungan antara pola asuh otoriter, demokratis serta permisif pada fungsi eksekutif pada individu dewasa awal. Metode yang dimanfaatkan ialah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Alat ukur yang digunakan ialah skala pola asuh orang tua serta skala fungsi eksekutif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan melibatkan 116 individu berusia 18 sampai 25 tahun yang tinggal bersama orang tuanya dari kecil hingga sekarang di Kota Banjarmasin. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji korelasi Product Moment Pearson dan Spearman Rho. Hasil studi ini membuktikan adanya korelasi antara pola asuh otoriter, demokratis, serta permisif terhadap fungsi eksekutif pada individu dewasa awal. Sebagai orang tua sebaiknya bisa memilih pola pengasuhan yang baik untuk perkembangan fungsi eksekutif dari usia bayi hingga dewasa sebelum diterapkan dalam mengasuh anak.
