Enhancing Teacher Competence through Training on the Use of Canva AI Code in Developing Interactive Learning Media at SMA Darul Hijrah Putri

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has brought significant impacts and new opportunities for teachers in designing more creative and interactive learning. (Aryanti & Anwar, 2025) Canva AI Code is Canva's newest feature that allows users to create simple programming-based designs with the help of AI. This training activity aims to improve teachers' digital literacy competencies through training and mentoring in the use of AI-based Canva Code. The activity's implementation method included preparation, training, mentoring, and evaluation. Participants were 43 teachers from Darul Hijrah Puteri Martapura High School. The activity used a participatory approach through demonstrations, hands-on discussions, and reflection. Observations showed a shift in teachers' attitudes from pessimism about coding to enthusiasm after understanding that the programming process is assisted by AI and ChatGPT features.

Most participants successfully created interactive learning using AI-based Canva Code with attractive and applicable designs. This activity demonstrates that integrating AI in digital training can improve technological literacy and teachers' confidence in developing interactive learning
