Burnout dan Mengatasi Keagamaan di Kalangan Akademisi

Akademisi dibebankan dengan tugas tambahan yang melampaui tugas utama mereka untuk mendidik, meneliti, dan mengabdi kepada masyarakat. Tugas-tugas ini seringnya bersifat ambigu dan menuntut, namun ia jarang sekali bermanfaat bagi pengembangan karier mereka. Peran yang saling bertentangan ini dapat menyebabkan burnout. Meskipun demikian, para akademisi dapat mengatasi tuntutan ini dengan beragam cara, di antaranya agama. Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh intervensi mengajar dan kehidupan terhadap penelitian (TLR) terhadap burnout, dengan religiositas sebagai moderator. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 91 akademisi pendidikan tinggi Muslim di Indonesia. Analisis dilakukan dengan regresi hierarki. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif TLR terhadap burnout dan adanya efek penyangga religiositas terhadap burnout. Namun, religiositas tidak memoderasi antara TLR dan burnout. Para pembuat kebijakan harus merancang kebijakan yang mengurangi beban kerja akademisi, sementara akademisi sendiri dapat kembali ke agama untuk mengurangi stres kerja mereka.
