Abstract

The development of digital technology and the dynamics of the workplace demand that students be job-ready, supported by digital competencies and adaptability. This study aims to describe the role of digital competencies and adaptability in shaping the job-readiness of students at Raden Rahmat Islamic University Malang. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through interviews with students from various study programs. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that students have basic digital competencies that include the use of Microsoft Office, Canva, and various digital learning platforms. However, these skills still need to be developed to better align with the demands of the ever-evolving workplace. The research findings also indicate that adaptability plays a crucial role in helping students navigate changes in technology, the work environment, and various professional challenges. Furthermore, involvement in academic and non-academic activities contributes to the development of soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and self-confidence. Overall, this study confirms that strengthening digital competencies and adaptability is a crucial aspect in comprehensively improving students' job-readiness.
